You know what this means right?

Please excuse the lack of flair and breadth I have been sick recently and am not 100%  mentally here

Well this year has gone by in a flash, and unfortunately I was busy last month so instead of March 28th this is being done on April 28th cause you gotta atleast maintain the same day lol.

It’s odd how it seems like just yesterday that I was sitting here writing my first State of the Group Address, I guess you could say a lot has changed over the last year. I have finally begun to get the hang of creating filters in avisynth and I am beginning to understand the mathematical principles that are in play whereas I used to only understand the visual cues and concepts. Despite my increases in understanding and competency I will say that my encode turnout rate has been quiet abyssal. If we discard the PowerPuff Girls Z encodes I didn’t really get much of any series done this year, which as most of you know has been my main issue. However I think I will talk more about that later, for now I am going to go over the staff changes in Dual-Duality

This year I managed to actually not end up losing more people than I gained.

We have had people come and go, people like Goretek who wanted to help us with subs but ultimately ended up disappearing never to be heard from again due to personal circumstances.

Unfortunately Chevy787 also has not been with us for the majority of the past year due to real life concerns, though there is a chance that over the summer he may return and help for a while.

And of course I always like to try and pick up a few newbies along the way, this year it was Obto and Vash.

Obto ended up being too busy with work to actually do any encoding but at least he is still here and talks with us and gives moral support lol

Vash still has promise and I was in the process of teaching him when he became AFK for for oddly long periods of time. He still hangs around in the channel but it seems oddly hard to actually get a hold of him.

Though we did make some good friends this year.

colormeKEVO is the leader and founder of the wonderful ColorMeSubbed you may know them for their excellent subs and insane typesetting (especially in things like Nisemongatari) Kevo has been very nice and helpful to me over the past year and you will all be thanking him for the OP and ED karaoke when I release my 10bit v2 of Kyouran Kazoku Nikki

I also started talking with OZC again this year. He’s a nice guy and has been willing to let me help him with the avisynth scripts on his shows aswell as being a test subject for my filters lol. It has been nice being able to talk with someone about encoding and such. He also is gonna be helping me with audio syncing stuff as Sashamaru doesn’t always have the time to be doing it.

I suppose I should also be thanking Rarely_Upset for both giving me a reason to do Softenni and by actually helping me release it.

And of course I would like to give all of my staff a big hand and thank them for sticking with me and helping even when the going got tough. I would like to thank Sashamaru for being very encouraging and at times helpful especially when it came to releasing things. Sashamaru has been very helpful with his editing on Softenni and for that I thank him. Again I will thank torque for always having random pieces of advice or criticism. His knowledge has been especially helpful when regarding patching and typesetting and other general fansub related stuff. I want to thank EvilLivesHere for continuing to host our site, we are very grateful for his support and services.

I may come back and add more to this when I am feeling better and can think straight but until then;

The State of the Group is strong and I hope to show you that in my actions as well as in my words.

The encoding is done, thanks to a couple of mistakes an accidental wasted time encoding the same thing it took a bit longer but currently we are actually waiting on Sashamaru to get back to me with his version.

As it stands I have edited the script, I also asked Rarely_Upset to help and he edited the script and collaborated with me and we compiled a version from our edits and now we are just waiting on Sashamaru to give us amazing version so that we may begin forming a master version.

Oh and apparently Sashamaru fixed the issue with the formatting so I should no longer leave you with UGLY no formatting text blocks

A while back I took a editing test for fun and it happened to be of this show, ever since that event I have been interested in watching this show. And as it would seem that no other group has properly encoded Softenni from the BD I guess I will end up doing it. I will be using Ayako-Nishishi as the base as they are the best and editing and typesetting as I see fit. Gonna thank the people on bakabt for giving me the motivation to do this. I hope to have episode 1 out by tomorrow.
